I have vivid memories of going to church with my family as a little kid. As my sister and I grew up our schedules started to include cheerleading practice and/or competitions on Sunday so church became something on the back burner that my parents never returned too.
Personally, I’ve always been a positive and spiritual person but it wasn’t until college when I realized that spirituality and religion go hand in hand. I got to a point in my life where I realized the necessity of God and Jesus in everyday activities. I discovered that whether or not I was able to physically attend church on Sunday had no bearing on my faith or relationship with God. I realized that fitting faith into your life is all about finding the time to worship on your own, in whichever way that may be. Maybe you pray every night before bed, read from the bible after a long day, start bible journaling or even listen to a podcast on your way to work. Whichever way you choose is fine as long as you are being spiritually fueled.
Personally, I love to listen to podcasts because it allows me to have access to a sermon and listen to other people’s ideas while on the go (in the car on my morning commute to work or while cooking dinner). While podcasts have been an integral part of my faith I find that my creative side needs additional ways to occupy my mind and heart. Thankfully, with a company like My Saint My Hero I can choose the pieces that speak to me and wear them in honor of my faith. I can now create outfits that incorporate everything I believe in and put meaning into my #ootd Instagram post.
I’m obsessed with bracelets and love to stack a bunch at the same time. This Stellar Blessing represents new beginnings and proves that no failure is the end of the story. When I saw this new piece I fell in love. Honestly, I’ve never seen something so beautiful before. The crown is such a statement that proves you are beautiful and truly divine royalty. On the opposite side there is the Calatrava Cross, their mission was to protect Christians and spread the good news of the gospel. This necklace spoke to me because it is a reminder to have the courage and inner beauty to spread the good news of Faith and inspiration throughout the world.
