I recently posted about the brand, Banded. They are a #girlboss brand that provides three meals to a child in need for every product sold. I’m absolutely obsessed with their mission and the products they are creating. I wear their Resort Dreams Twist Headwrap to keep the hair out of my face while around the house or when I want to jazz up my look.
I got a sneak peek at their new fall collection and I am loving their new items. I got this Positive hat which is perfect and totally embodies what I’m trying to cultivate on a daily basis. People constantly ask how I maintain my positive mindset and honestly, affirmations are a huge part.
An affirmation is a saying or quote that will actually program your mind into believing the stated concept. My entire life, I’ve always used affirmations, loved reading self-help books and constantly shared/looked at positive quotes. These beliefs have become so ingrained in my brain that they have become my reality.
The science behind affirmations is that it actually re-wires the brain by stimulating the reward and pleasure centers, creating a muscle that will act as a defense for negativity and increase our self-worth. Honestly, it is SO cool that we have the power to exercise the muscles in our brain and re-wire our chemical composition to favorite positivity over negativity.
To help you all get started in this re-wiring process I’m sharing some really powerful affirmations that you can start saying to yourself daily, writing in your journal and adding to a post-it note on your mirror:
- My potential to succeed is infinite.
- I am enough.
- I embrace the rhythm of life and let it unfold how it is supposed to.
- I believe in my dreams and won’t stop until they become real.
- I love and accept myself for who I am.
- My body is healthy, my mind is brilliant, my soul is tranquil.
- Everything that is happening now is happening for the ultimate good.
- I am the architect of my life; I build it’s foundation and choose the contents.
- I forgive those who have harmed me in the past and peacefully detach myself from them.
- I am loved and supported.

I absolutely love this post! I’m a huge believer in talking yourself up before an event. I get kind of shy when I don’t know anyone so on my drive to an event I always talk myself up in the car ???? it always works! I wholehearted believe that if you talk kindly about yourself others will too????
