What is Prenatal Collagen?

I don’t often blanket reccomend supplements because I truly believe that every individual has unique bioindividual needs that require a 1:1 consult for optimal results. Collagen however is a “multivitamin” of sorts that I love to reccomend to women to support of hair, skin, nails and joints. As we age, our collagen production reduces and we need to begin to supplement.

But…. have you heard of prenatal collagen?

A prental supplement is well established in research to help support mama and baby in their growth. I reviewed my favorite prenatal supplement and shared that the reccomendation by my OBGYN was to begin supplementing with a prenatal 6 months – 1 year before conceiving.

Beli created a prental collagen that you can take to provide 9g of protein and 10g of collagen made with essential amino acids to support your nourishment and baby’s growth. Protein is essential for fertility and adding an additional 9g in your morning coffee/tea/water is a great way to support your body and balance your blood sugar. (My goal is 30g of protein in every meal).

Collagen is the buliding blocks of protein and amino acids allowing baby to build new healthy cells. Beli reports their prenatal collagen is “easier to digest, can reduce nausea symptoms, and boosts immune system.” Collagen is your daily addition for a healthy pregnancy and with Beli you can ensure that you:

  • Support preconception
  • Protect baby’s brain & spine
  • Promote optimal egg quality
  • Promote healthy bone density
  • Maintain energy levels
  • Help reduce nausea
  • Encourage postpartum recovery
  • Support breastfeeding
